To celebrate reaching 300 followers and welcome all those who are new round here, I'd like to offer you the chance to win a fat quarter bundle of Peacock Lane by Violet Craft. There are 8 fat quarters in all as shown in the picture above.
All you have to do to enter is leave a comment below before Sunday 4th December 8pm GMT. As this is something of an early Christmas present, in your comment I'd like to know what your best Christmas present ever was. For me, it was my 'My Little Pony Stable' complete with extra ponies. I loved that thing, sigh. Good luck!
hi! It was a huge plus bear :)
ReplyDeleteMy best ever Christmas present was my ballet Sindy. I had hours of fun pretending she was a ballet dancer and gymnast on my headboard as I had a mirrored cupboard behind it.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely give away! My fav present was Mr Nelson, my Monkey Bear (named after the monkey in Pippi Longstocking)! I think it was the best christmas ever! Claire
ReplyDeleteclaire-hillyard@hotmail.com
My best Christmas present was Tiny Tears... I loved that doll and spent many an hour playing Mummy.
ReplyDeleteMy best christmas present was a set of colouring pencils that had my name on each one.as a 7 year old,i thought that was the coolest thing ever!(in 1986 it probably was LOL!)given by an aunt who has since passed on.
ReplyDeleteoooh I think mine must be a 4"TV/Radio I got when I was about 15, it had an ariel that was about 3 times bigger than the screen!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the 300 x
Congratulations Kate and thanks for the generous giveaway. My best xmas present ever was the game Operation. God, I loved that game x
ReplyDeleteCongratulations and thanks for the chance to enter the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI think my best Christmas present ever would have to be my first bike.
Margaret
My first camera! I took so many rubbish photos!

My favourite Christmas present was my 'A La Carte Kitchen' I was so excited! I loved all the tiny boxes of food and washing my doll's clothes in the washing machine. As an adult, it was my engagement ring - which evoked a similar level of excitement!! :o)
ReplyDeleteMy best christmas present ever..... A remote controlled Dalek! thanks daddy!
ReplyDeleteI think my best present has to be my sewing machine! But from my childhood my favourite thing was the pony stable my Dad made me from mdf in the garage and decorated with comic book wallpaper and slate wallpaper on the roof! It was amazing and all the better that he had made it just for me.
ReplyDeleteBest pressie ever for me was my very own portable tv - I was so chuffed with my four channels! It was the clunkiest thing ever and before remote controls but I sure did feel lucky. I think I christened it by watching some Noel Edmonds blub-fest. Those were the days!!
ReplyDeletei still remember getting my first proper 'baby' dolly with a wicker carry cot, my sister & i got matching ones, i got blue she got pink!
ReplyDeleteOoh cant remember my fave as a child, but my hubby got me a brilliant coffee machine a few years ago. Now, normally dont like house goodss for gifts, but I love this baby.
ReplyDeleteThe hubby bought me Jo Malone bath oil selection and white company cashmere bed socks one year, that was a good one, now we have children so no such frivolity now!
ReplyDeleteA giant jigsaw of the world map when I was about 10. I loved doing the jigsaw but I don't think it taught me anything as these days I am clueless as to where countries are located! Thanks for the chance of winning the lovely fabrics.
ReplyDeleteThanks for a great giveaway! My best ever present was a bright yellow 'Walkman'. I thought I was the Bees Knees with that clipped to my belt listening to AHA on cassette!
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice giveaway - thank you!
ReplyDeleteMy favourite presenty was probably the Fashion Wheel, I spent hours playing with that and my parents still have it in their attic as I won't let them throw it away!
Fabulous bundle. Drooling over what I could make with that. My best and most memorable Christmas present was a dolls house. I usually got my presents in my bedroom but the dolls house was downstairs. I can remember standing at the top of the stairs after opening all my pressies, thinking that was it, and through the darkness seeing the shadowy outline of the dolls house in the hallway below. It was the most thrilling moment. I'll never forget it!
ReplyDeleteWhat a GREAT giveaway!!! so nice :-)
ReplyDeleteMy best present was (when I was 4 years old) a soft cushion! It was so simple but zo pretty :-)
Kind regards from belgium :-)
Oh, my best present has to be a homemade dolls house. My great-uncle built it, and my grandparents fitted it out with furniture, curtains, carpets, wallpaper and even working lights. I loved that thing for years and years!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on 300 followers! Here's to the next 300 :)
Fab giveaway - exactly my colour scheme! And congrats for reaching 300 followers. My favourite present is my Celine handbag for my 30th - so practical, so stylish... I use it everyday - serious brownie points for my husband (he still lives on them...)
ReplyDeletehad to be monopoly.....almost immediately ruined by my little sister with a biro...have i forgiven her yet?.....obviously not after 40 years as its the first thing that came to mind!
ReplyDeleteOoh what a lush giveaway!
ReplyDeleteMy alltime favourite present was a dollhouse made by my father, it had working lights too, well he is an electrician.
xx
My best Christmas present has to be the sewing machine I got a couple of years ago. I love that thing with all my heart and probably will enjoy it for the next couple of decades!
ReplyDeleteLovely giveaway! My favourite christmas present was a BIG HELLO KITTY toy! I was only 12 during that time and the toy was about half the height of my height!
ReplyDeleteHow lovely! My favourite Christmas present ever was the little suitcase filled with clothes my Mum had sewn and knitted for my Tiny Tears. She did all the making in secret whilst my sister and I were in bed, and every item was a delight.

What a beautiful fabric bundle - would love to win! My best Christman present probably was the drawing desk my friend generously gave to me a few years ago. Right now I don't draw so much but I still use it as a crafts/sewing table and love it as I can adjust the height and the inclination.
ReplyDeleteooh pretty fabric! My best present was a gold and silver necklace from my parents from Egypt which has my name in hieroglyphs.
ReplyDeletex
what a lovely collection of fabrics!
ReplyDeleteMy best xmas present was from my parents, a few years ago: my first sewing machine. It pretty much trumped everything that came before it because it introduced me to this wonderful world of sewing (and fabric!) x
I think it would have to be an slr camera when I was about 14. I remember mum and dad bought it 2nd hand from Jessops and I loved it. Still do! Juliex
ReplyDeleteGreat fabric! My best present was 2 cows from my husband about 10 years ago!!
ReplyDeleteMy best present EVER was a handmade dollhouse, courtesy of my Grandad. He even cut up some old velvet curtains to cover the wooden livingroom set. My Barbies and Sindys were so spoiled that year! It's still up in my parent's attic so I might add it to my 'list of things to refurb in the future'...
ReplyDeleteThe best Christmas present ever was a sewing machine. It was a small one, made of plastic and it broke after sewing with it for exactly 2 days, but it made me dream that one day I will have my own.
ReplyDeleteI bought my first real sewing machine from my first paycheck as a teenager.
As a child I was also obsessed with My Little Pony and I think my best ever Christmas was the one where I got the Lullaby Nursery - none of my friends had it and we'd spend hours playing with the baby ponies. I recently got all my old ponies down from the attic and my girls (nearly 4 and 2.5) have been spending hours playing with them. I still remember all their names too! That Christmas I also got three pairs of fluffy earmuffs which I thought were the height of sophistication at the time (I was only 9 years old, and it was the 80s!).
ReplyDeleteI think it was probably a doll's house; it was a split level doll's house and later my sister wired it for electricity as a science project. Every once in a while I come across the laundry basket from the house, which I have for some reason, and it really brings back the memories.
ReplyDeleteMy best ever Christmas present was probably my yellow Lego digger that my little sister bought me 2 years ago! When I was little, I was determined that when I grew up I was going to be a "yellow digger driver"! The Lego digger made my Christmas that year!
ReplyDeleteMy best present was a pair of fantastic cowboy boots that I had drooled over and never thought would be mine until I was surprised on Christmas morning by my husband. Fantastic!
ReplyDeleteOk, dredging my memory it had to be a Girlsworld, brunette variety , blue or green eye crayon and false eyelashes I used to try to stick on myself. Sigh. She had a tress of hair that was on a reel inside her head that could be long or shortened. And rollers. What didn't she have? That Girlsworld had it all. Apart from a human name Thank you for forcing me to reminisce!
ReplyDeleteCongrats! And what a lovely giveaway, I've been ogling that fabric since you posted about it originally.
ReplyDeleteHmmm...may have been the My Little Pony Lullaby Nursery, although your mentioning MLP may have biased my memory somewhat!
What a lovely giveaway.
ReplyDeleteNow you've got me thinking...My best Christmas present would have to be the remaining Anne of Green Gables books that completed my set when I was 12 or 13, I desperately wanted to be Anne Shirley - goodness that was a lifetime ago!!!
My favourite present was the iPhone I got a few years ago. I got a sweater's worth of fibre to spin that year too. Best Christmas ever!
ReplyDeleteI think my most memorable was the matching nightie and dressing gown I had when I was really young. It has stuck in my mind all these years because I got caught opening them up in the middle of the night and my mother was distinctly unimpressed! Somehow, reopening them the next day wasn't quite so exciting.
ReplyDeleteLovely giveaway Kate, thank you.
Kate x
Congrats! Thank you for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteMy favourite present was a forever friends bear from my mum when I was little :)
Thanks for the giveaway! I'm not surprised at your popularity and wish you the most prosperity this upcoming year.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite present ever is hard to say, as I've been awed by so many. My big comic book nerd self would have to say my Swamp Thing statue as a teenager. Even now, I look at it with the utmost affection.
Best gift ever was hanging on the rearview mirror of our car when my hubby and I left for Christmas at our family's house one year. He had placed a clear glass, gold embossed ornament there, and when I saw it, it was all sparkly from reflecting the sun off the snow. So beautiful, and it warms my heart every year when I put it on the tree.
ReplyDeleteMy mom made me a quilt two years ago and it is by far my favorite gift. She was up until 2am Christmas morning sewing on the binding.
ReplyDeleteA tea set with dishes and a little hutch to store it all in. I remember it like it was yesterday. Loved it so much.
ReplyDeleteMy mum said I wasn't allowed a Rod Hull Emu puppet - they were huge.....but my lovely Grandma bought me an orange one for Christmas.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous fabric!
ReplyDeleteMine would have to be either my typewriter - I loved it and used to type baking recipes out of the BeRo book, and my Sindy townhouse (4 floors with a lift and I can still remember the orange plastic bathroom suite!)
Great giveaway! Not sure about the best present but my favourite Christmas was the one I spent with my husband in Paris just before we got married *sigh*
ReplyDeleteGorgeous colours in your fabric. I think my best present ever was an electric drill/screw driver. I had just moved into a new house with my son. There were unpteen DIY jobs needing to be done. If I didn't do them no one else would and I loved being able to sort my own place out myself!
ReplyDeleteMy favourite Christmas present was a SuperNintendo that my 2 brothers and I had to share between us. We had to go on a treasure hunt around the house following clues and solving riddles to find it! We played with that for many years and I like to think that having to share it has greatly improved our conflict resolving and negotiating skills!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Christmas gift was my piano. Still love her so much <3
ReplyDeleteCongrats for getting to 300 :-) I've just joined you & am loving being a part of your blog :-) Loving the giveaway :-) My best Christmas Present was The sewing machine I'm using now <3 my beautiful Janome 603DXL.....it's THIS years' Christmas present. I've been off work for a few months since having major neck/spine surgery & couldn't make my jewellery or even read a book as I needed to be more upright...hence, my wonderful hubby <3 surprised me with a bundle of gorgeousness. He didn't think about all the extra's that I would need though & so I've had some extra wonderful parcels delivered with layers of gorgeous fabrics & ribbons & buttons :-) recovering from surgery has never been such fun :-)
ReplyDeleteOh I remember getting a Kenner Tree House when I was four and it was the most exciting thing that happened ever.
ReplyDeletebest Christmas ever has to be sindy town house complete with lift wow i treasured that thing
ReplyDeletelucy x
Congrats on all those followers! I think it might have been a pop swatch when I was about 13 - it was just so cool! thanks for a lovely giveaway
ReplyDeleteMy best Christmas present is one I get every year - its seeing the unbridled joy on my children's faces as they open their Christmas stockings on our (hubby & me) bed. They get so excited about the things my hubby has been hiding away. His one job every Christmas. And seeing hubby's face pure joy at seeing how happy our children are at his gifts to them. Then the happiness continues after lunch when they realise the stockings where only a small part of Christmas day.
ReplyDeleteMy best Christmas present ever was... a pair of pinking shears! My Nan has taught me (and still is!) how to sew and knit, and when I was a poor student pinking shears were always an unaffordable luxury. What made them so wonderful was that she had obviously put a lot of thought into getting me something useful and that I wouldn't buy myself. Everytime I use them (and they're used a lot!) I smile to myself - I can't say the same for many other Christmas presents!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely my A La Carte Kitchen when I was five - really wish I still had that! :D
ReplyDeleteCongrats on all those followers... I think my favourite ever Xmas present was the stereo cassette player I got in my mid-teens. Suddenly I could make mix-tapes - deep joy!
ReplyDeleteveryberryhandmade (at) gmail (dot) com
When i was little Santa got me a gorgeous Cabbage Patch Kid (shows my age) and I loved her to bits!
ReplyDeletemy best ever Christmas present as a child was a girl's world head and as an adult it was a trip to Budapest
ReplyDeleteMy best ever Christmas present...well, it's probably the dress form my boyfriend bought me two Christmases ago as it was completely unexpected and very welcome indeed!
ReplyDeleteI had thought of buying a bit of this fabric but wouldn't it be lovely to win it. By the way I am in love with my new Japanese pattern book Sweet Dress Book. Love, Love, Love it!
ReplyDeleteFab giveaway congrats on your followers my best christmas present was a blusher art! I think I was six... I remember gasping and saying "Just what I always wanted" Now my family say it every year poke fun at me! Its Tradition!
ReplyDeletePlease enter me in for the giveaway! x
Hello Kate, congratulations on your followers and a great business too, I've loved my recent purchases. My best present was my wooden craft box that I got last year. I love it.
ReplyDeleteTough one! Possibly the rollerboots, but then again, one year I got my very own Hi-Fi and a few LPs and 12"s and I think I was pretty much high as a kite for days with that one... lol Congrats on the followers, and thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteBest present I ever had was my PS3!
