New flannels in stock

I have some gorgeous new Loulouthi flannels in stock, you can find them here.

They have inspired me to think about making a quilt to snuggle under as they are extremely cozy. I've been playing around with ideas, my favourite being far too complicated so am trying to tone it down to something a little more manageable for a quilting novice like me!

 Mission impossible

Mission more possible if not so exciting

  1. Oh you need a Disappearing 9 Patch Kate! Easy peasy but looks the business!

  3. I'm just in the throes of finishing the top of a quilt for my 7 week old son's quilt. I figured it would be a fairly meaningful Christmas present for his first Christmas. It's my first quilt too - I used the pattern that came with my Go! Acuquilt cutter and it was fairly straightforward. I am in a dilemma as to what to use for the back of the quilt though. I'd really love to use a flannel fabric to make it quite snuggly but am yet to find one I like. I really like that blue one you've just posted but suspect that floral isn't quite the right design for a boy :-(

  4. I am trying to figure out how to get the disappearing 9 patch to work with the number of fabrics I have. verykerryberry.blogspot.com and imagingermonkey.blogspot.com made this excellent suggestion too!
